“The fearsomengine team brings the ability to think outside the box. Ultimately they have gone the extra mile for us in delivering a quality product.”
Mark Hoddinott, Projects and Engineering Manager, DPM Water Technologies Ltd
With only a small percentage of the world’s water being suitable for drinking, washing, or irrigation, there is a demand for stand alone or mobile treatment systems that will make water usable. DPM Water Technologies specialise in providing such systems, and their technologies are used in a broad range of circumstances such as emergency relief, disaster situations, and construction camps.
Fearsomengine were commissioned to design, literally from the wheels up, a mobile trailer to house 4 of Aquacube’s water treatment modules, allowing them to be carried into more remote parts of the world. The trailer had to be ruggedized and environmentally sealed to withstand extreme environments. It also had to be easy to use and maintain, allowing it to be utilised by the technically untrained or those who donĂt share a common language.
In addition, fearsomengine designed in safety features, such as the interlocking rack system that prevents accidental release of the heavy modules, or the main door that opens up to become a sun and rain shelter. The entire trailer had to be mechanically engineered to prevail against the abuses of everyday use. For example, the stresses caused by high wind loads and the potential damage caused by sudden breaking when travelling at 70mph.
As part of a comprehensive solution, fearsomengine provided the branding for the Aquacube. And as a final yet critical step in the project, we were onsite to help oversee the successful build and testing of the first units.
